CIWA (Calgary Immigrant Women's Association) is a non-profit organization that focuses on the concerns and needs of immigrant and refugee women, girls, and their families. Their vision is to empower immigrant women and help enrich the Canadian society through integrity, inclusiveness, equity, leadership, and innovation.

CIWA needed a way to bring awareness to domestic and gender-based violence towards immigrant and refugee women in Canada. They wanted to focus on the causes, impacts, types, and resources available for family violence in the community
Before we understood the impact we'd create for this project, we understood the value and importance of spreading awareness on a subject like this.
Through every step of our animation pipeline, we wanted to design every frame and illustration with intention. We created visuals that were stunning and can tell statistics and facts in an engaging way.
We designed characters of diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds to represent the subject matter respectfully and realistically.
